Light green cloth with spine titles, no publishing date, WorldCat says 1883. 1st book 159 pp., 2nd book 165 pp. Illustrated by various artists in black and white. Condition: Good minus; spine darkened, cover scratches, wear to corners, spine ends, pages toned.

Philadelphia PA Wagner Free Institute of Science 1898 Hardcover Near Fine No Dust Jacket Book 4to - over 9 - 12" tall 
William Healey Dall's classic text, Contributions to the Tertiary Fauna of Florida with Especial Refernce to the Miocene Silex-Beds of Tampa and the Pliocene Beds of the Caloosahatchie River, Volume 3, Parts 1 -4. These were printed in the Transactions of the Wagner Free Institute of Science of Philadelphia over a period of several years in the 1890's. This hardbound binding (red with gilt lettering on the spine) of those publications consists of Volume 3, Parts 1- 4 as follows : Part 1 : Pulmonate, Opisthobranchiate and Orthodont Gastropods; (August 1890), Part 2 : Streptodont and other Gastropods, Concluded; (December 1892), Part 3 : A New Classification of the Pelecypoda; (March 1895), Part 4 : 1 : Prionodesmacea: Nucula to Julia; (April 1898) and 2 : Teleodesmacea : Teredo to Ervilia. * Part 3 includes Dall's comprehensive classification of the Bivalvia. Each part contains an index at the end along with multiple b&w plates with groupings of the items discussed in each part. There is also a color fold out map of Florida Geology. The volume weighs over 7 lbs. with 947 pages. PLEASE NOTE : Due to weight of volume, extra postage may be requested. Book Condition : Near Fine; no text marks; former owner's name on front free end paper; 3 pages have small paper tears with tape repairs; a few small marks to text block and one on a page of plates; light wear to cover corners and spine ends. No Dust Jacket as issued.

The Christian Advocate was a weekly newspaper published in New York by the Methodist Episcopal Church. It began publication in 1826 and by the mid 1830s had become the largest circulating weekly in America. This is the Philadelphia Area edition of their Centennial issue (Vol. 101, No. 36. 09/29/1926) issued in two sections - this is part 2. Oversized stapled softcover. 168 pages. Book Condition : Good; the first couple pages are lightly aged, the rest are clean and bright with no markings, some tiny tears / nicks to bottom edges and overall light bend to top corners. Cover has light soiling, mostly around the edges. Edges have some creasing and small tears with tearing to top and bottom spine ends. Main sections in this issue: One Hundred Years of Episcopal Methodism; Missions; Education: Artgravure Section; The Methodist Press; Reform and Relief. Some other interesting features: a reduced facsimile of the first page of the first issue published on September 9, 1826.; list of Bishops of the Methodist Episcopal Church, 1784 - 1926; lots of ads for universities and churches; art gravure of President Lincoln's letter to t he General Conference dated 1864 and lots more interesting religious history.

Condition: Good; ex-seminary library, with bookplate, labels on back cover, back pocket and blank checkout list, slight darkening of pages along fore edge, last 25 pages have darkened top corner, foxing on 1st 2 endpapers, sparse penciling on title p. verso, first page, o.w. text pages clean.

Outlines the law creating a Department of Agriculture in Pennsylvania, the various acts of assembly committed to the Bureau of Foods for enforcement, a brief digest of numerous court decisions relating to those laws, and rules and regulations. 78-page stapled softcover. Book Condition : Good; Cover has some edge wear including a couple tiny tears to front foredge; Also some water spotting at left bottom right. The only affect to the pages is a little bleeding of the red coloring to the top edge of the last two pages. Otherwise pages are lightly aged, clean and unmarked, no tears.

Small hardback with red cloth and black lettering. 156 pp., illustrated with black and white drawings and photographs. Copyright 1908 but the calendar on the front pastedown is for 1915. 16mo - over 5" - 6 " tall. An old book for veterinarians and horse breeding services. The first part has forms to fill out on the horses being serviced . Most still blank, about 1/4 filled in. The second part contains chapters on: Care and Management of Jacks; Reproduction of the Mare. Also some ads for Dr. Rea's products. CONDITION: Except for the forms that have been filled in there is no writing to pages. Pages basically clean and bright with a few smudges. No tears or creases. There is some paper peeling to front pastedown along binding. The front free endpaper possibly missing. Some soiling to rear endpapers and book edges. Cover has a couple spots and a smudge to front, some scuffing, rubbing and some fading. Edges have light wear. Interior binding starting to split in a couple places but pages are secure. Hardcover

Spine is faded and discolored with wear to spine ends. Hinges are intact and binding is tight.
