Inscribed by Author on front free end paper of Part 1: "To Dick Nolan, Sam Laidacker, Lancaster, Pa. April 5, 1955." This is a two volume set - Part 1 is a 1954 Revised 2nd Edition (90 pp.). It covers export China made for the American market, featuring historical American views and subjects, specifically Gaudy Dutch, King's Rose, Splatter, etc. from 1810 - 1860. Part II is a 1951 1st Edition (144 pp.). It covers non-historical subjects, produced by Staffordshire and other English potters, from the period 1815-1860. Each volume, alphabetically organized by potter, provides b&w photos, dimensions, and pricing of series produced by each manufacturer. Book Conditions : Good+; former owners name and address label on front free end papers, no text marks; bindings are relaxed but secure; light age toning to inside covers, free end papers, and text block; a few small spots and scuffs to covers. No Dust Jackets.
