Davis - British bomber squad fighting off a German attack; Cruise of the U-53 by Claus Bergen - German U-boat sinking a sailed ship by a well known German marine artist; La Voie Sacree de Verdun by Georges Scott - Supply train during the Battle of verdun; Last Night of the War by F.C. Yohn - U.S. Marines storning the Meuse on the night before the Armistice went into effect. Posters : I Want You by James Montgomery Flagg - the iconic Uncle Sam recruiting poster; Invest in the Victory Liberty Loan by L.A. Shafer - Navy scene supporting a 1919 post War bond drive; Victory is a Question of Stamina by Harvey Dunn - Urging American citizens to reduce food waste, observe meatless and wheatless days to support shipping food to Allied countries; Will You Have a Part in Victory ? by James Montgomery Flagg - Promotes home gardens. Includes bifold list and description of pieces as well as a promotional letter. Folio size is 22 1/2" W x 16 1/4" H. Individual reproductions vary slightly in size - all the paintings are 22 1/4" W x 16" H (landscape orientation) and the posters (all but one are portrait orientation) range from 16" W x 22" H to 15 3/4 "H x 22 1/4" W and also vary in the amount of white margin around the picture. Condition : Very Good-; portfolio has three edge stains on the front and rear covers and one interior flap (they appear to be paint which makes sense as these were obtained from an artist's estate), also some creasing to the top front cover; some posters have edge wear and light corner wear; I Want You has two small tears to the edges.
